The dress and headpiece together make a complete ensemble for carnival, masquerade, or stage. The costume is entirely black: both the dress and the headpiece are in the same color. The fabric surface has a pronounced texture, so even a solid-color fabric looks dimensional, and the black color is less monotone. Small irregularities and a soft play of light are noticeable under different lighting. The high stand-up collar frames the neck.

The sleeves are long and wide, flared from the shoulder. The skirt is long, with a ruffle along the bottom edge. The headpiece is separate in the set: it is not attached to the dress and is worn on its own. The separate headpiece is decorated with two curved horns. A silver oval brooch is attached to the chest of the dress: it has a cool metallic tone and is clearly visible against the black background.
